# Preferences

The preferences menu is identical for all four modules: [FX](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/helmutfx), [IO](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/helmutio), [CO](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/helmutco) and [HK](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/helmuthk).

The IO view lacks the option to set the following paths:

* Temporary project import directory - only via [FX preferences](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmutfx/preferences#temporary-project-import-directory)
* Upload directory - only via [CO preferences](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmutco/preferences#upload-directory)
* Temporary upload directory - only via [CO preferences](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmutco/preferences#temporary-upload-directory)<br>
