Premiere Native Lock Action

A Premiere Project can be locked using the Premiere Native Lock Action. Here, Premiere's own native locking is used and the corresponding lock file is written in the path that was defined via the node.

Depending on whether the stream in which this node is used is a server or a client stream, the server or the client monitors this file. As long as this file exists and can be accessed by the server or the client, the corresponding project is blocked in the HelmutFX project overview.

Once the project is closed, Premiere Pro deletes this file, which unlocks the project.

This node employs two methods:

  1. It uses Premiere Pro’s built-in project locking functionality, which creates a *.prlock file.

  2. It locks the project within the FX, CO, and HK project views by displaying a lock symbol—either a hard or soft lock —depending on the state of the boolean "Force lock."

Another option to lock a project (via Helmut) would be by using the Project Lock Action node.
