# Stream Delete Store Variable Action

With the help of the Stream Delete Store Variable Action it is possible to delete an existing store variable in the [Stream Variable Store](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/streamdesigner/stream-variable-store) by specifying the name (key) of the variable.

This is only possible if the variable is **not protected**.

To remove the protection of a store variable, one need to do this manually by accessing it via the [Stream Variable Store](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/streamdesigner/stream-variable-store).

Keep in mind to ***use only the variable key*** "test1234".

Using the wildcard "{store.variable.test1234}" would lead to an issue due to syntax error.
