# Profiles

Profiles are used to define all relevant affiliations between workflows, metadata, user groups and rendering nodes. This defines who is allowed to see and execute the corresponding profile, which metadata is passed when the job is executed, and which render nodes from the pool are allowed to take over the job. It is divided into a sidebar menu, a list view, and a hidden overlay.

### All Tab:

Displays all profiles created in the system.

### Group Tab:

Displays all profiles created in the system and filters profiles displayed in the list view when selecting a group.
