# Fail Action

With the help of the fail action it is possible to ensure that a node or an entire stream fails even though it is successful. Why would anyone want to do this? It is conceivable that the behavior of a node is applied differently than the node per se implies. For example, a condition that asks something and if that is true, you want to ensure that the stream is not successful. This node is the solution.
