# Import Assets

Opens a dialog for importing assets into the project. Assets can only be imported when a profile is selected. Since a profile always contains a stream, a HIO job is created in the dashboard for each imported asset, which is processed via a render node. Different from web upload the assets will not be first uploaded to a temporary folder but will be imported directly to the system. For selecting the files which needs to be imported the file chooser can be used that is the replica of the host computer.
