# HelmutCO

## Visualising the projects content

Cosmo allows you to look at your projects content in a web UI without the need to open Premiere or After Effects. By indexing bin structure, assets, sequences and even metadata, Cosmo makes this data available in your streams and enables you to make decisions based on your current project content.

While Cosmo is not a full-feature asset management system, it can be used to synchronize or compare your project content with third party systems. With Cosmo, you can ingest assets to a Premiere project without opening the project file, or forward imported assets to a MAM system with REST API.

## Source of Truth: Cosmo vs Adobe

Helmut4 as a PM system, the project file and its referenced assets serve as the source of truth for Cosmo. Whenever a project is indexed, its information is passed to Cosmo. This applies to all assets, except those added to Cosmo with an "unsynced" status.

These assets remain "on hold" until they are synced and imported via the panel into the project after it has been opened.
