# Preferences

The preferences menu is identical for all four modules: [FX](/helmut4-releases/v4.9.1/helmut4-components/helmutfx.md), [IO](/helmut4-releases/v4.9.1/helmut4-components/helmutio.md), [CO](/helmut4-releases/v4.9.1/helmut4-components/helmutco.md) and [HK](/helmut4-releases/v4.9.1/helmut4-components/helmuthk.md).

The HK view lacks the option to set the following path:

* Temporary project import directory - only via [FX preferences](/helmut4-releases/v4.9.1/helmut4-components/helmutfx/preferences.md#temporary-project-import-directory)

### Cosmo upload directories

#### Upload directory

Any asset successfully uploaded and ingested via Cosmo [WEB\_UPLOAD](/helmut4-releases/v4.9.1/helmut4-components/helmutco/streams/co-event-triggers/web_upload.md) will be saved into this folder path.

#### Temporary upload directory

Any asset currently uploaded via Cosmo [WEB\_UPLOAD](/helmut4-releases/v4.9.1/helmut4-components/helmutco/streams/co-event-triggers/web_upload.md) will be temporarily saved in this folder path as a file with a .tmp extension.
