General advice before updating Adobe CC
Test before updating
It is advisable to test project templates and mogrts made in earlier versions of Adobe CC with the version you want to update to, before rolling them out in Helmut. Inconveniences can result from slight incompatibilities in some cases, but not all. That means: not all of this little inconveniences will be visible right away, but certainly will they show in production.
In the past, some avoidable bugs have been:
Wrong fonts in mogrts from older CC versions: between the major version 22 / 23 and 24, some changes seem to have happened in the engine that is dealing with typography and text in projects and mogrts, switching to different fonts (seen at least in Premiere Pro and After Effects).
NextID field in PremierePro projects: as stated here, projects that have been made with one of the affected versions will inherit the bug to newer versions, as the nextID field still is missing in them.
Outdated third party plugins or effects: the use of outdated plugins or effects that are incompatible to newer versions of PremierePro may result in errors when opening old projects with newer versions of Adobe CC applications.
Solving or preventing these issues
To solve or prevent these issues, recreate all templates and mogrts with the new version you want to update to, test them first independently from Helmut and roll them out only when your tests are successful.
