# Preferences

The preferences menu is identical for all four modules: [FX](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/helmutfx), [IO](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/helmutio), [CO](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/helmutco) and [HK](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/helmuthk).

The HK view lacks the option to set the following path:

* Temporary project import directory - only via [FX preferences](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmutfx/preferences#temporary-project-import-directory)

### Cosmo upload directories

#### Upload directory

Any asset successfully uploaded and ingested via Cosmo [WEB\_UPLOAD](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/helmutco/streams/co-event-triggers/web_upload) will be saved into this folder path.

#### Temporary upload directory

Any asset currently uploaded via Cosmo [WEB\_UPLOAD](https://docs.helmut.de/helmut4-releases/helmut4-components/helmutco/streams/co-event-triggers/web_upload) will be temporarily saved in this folder path as a file with a .tmp extension.
